Time for New Beginnings! Really?
As I put away the last of 2024, I realized a few things. First, the prospect of 2025 signifies a fresh start. Next, is the idea that all of my old self will be with me as I turn the page on the calendar.
All of my successes along with all of my sorrows and incompletions.
I prefer the idea of a clean slate new year, but at this point in the journey, at age 70, I crave honesty. And honestly, this odyssey involves everything: old and new, easy and difficult, clarity and confusion, and the list continues.
It’s a stunning realization that I am not a blank canvas. Rather, a combination of known and unknown.
As we cross the line into 2025, many of us are exhausted, frustrated, annoyed, and at the same time, exhilarated, thrilled, and just plain excited.
I can’t think of one person who is all negative or all positive. Each of us is a combination of old and new, happy and sad, and on and on.
So, this is a great time to look within. Discover what I am bringing to 2025 that will empower me, support others, generate the love and respect I know exist. And then, look again to learn what I bring that could slow me down, whether resentments, fears, disappointments, or failures. “Look within” is the call of the hour.
Know that as the clock ticks in the direction of the future, each of us brings the entire journey of our soul to the moment: a thousand years ago or another thousand from now. It’s all here for us to draw upon and bring to the time in which we find ourselves.
We all made a heroic choice to be here for this transition into 2025. All of me is included, as is all of you. We are who we are meant to be at this very moment. Count yourself in.
While the world is full of uncertainty, the Light is always constant. Use it. Enjoy it. Be your whole self.
