It is natural for human beings to long for a glimpse of the future, especially in times of stress and uncertainty.
Whether we look to the future with dread or with happy anticipation, sometimes we simply want to know what to expect and when it will happen. Depending on our perspective, we might want to brace ourselves for future challenges, or we might want to breathe a sigh of relief that the troubling times will soon be behind us so we can finally enjoy some peace.
The Akashic Records provide insight and understanding into our past, present, and future. While the Records are usually able to provide us with helpful information about our past and present, the future can be tricky because it involves an exploration of probabilities. After all, the future plays out in a tapestry of infinite variables, driven by the free will of each and every person involved!
Of course, it’s only natural for us to want to glimpse future outcomes, particularly when we have a specific desirable scenario in mind. In the Akashic understanding, outcomes are the natural manifestation of our thoughts, choices, and actions. They are the visible expressions of the inner causes we set in motion.
Many people loosely use the term “karma” when considering future outcomes. Many envision karma as a cosmic ledger sheet, balancing out negatives and positives. Karma is actually much more beautiful than a ledger because it goes far beyond retribution and reward. If karma is a ledger of any kind, it is a ledger of love. As Paul McCartney wrote, “And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.”
Think of karma as a cause-and-effect. If someone spends a lifetime being cruel, dishonest, greedy, and self-absorbed, sure they might become rich and powerful. But are they happy? Do they know the peaceful joy of loving and being loved? Or do they live in constant fear of being vulnerable, alone, and unloved? Conversely, if someone spends a lifetime being kind, helpful, and loving, they might have much less material wealth, but they will be living a life of love. Each of us has the free will to choose.
Outcomes are not random. They emerge from the interaction between our inner world and outer life. We can successfully realize an outcome only when we recognize it as good for us, beneficial, fitting, and not harmful in any way. We allow ourselves to manifest only what we believe is in our best interest.
Outcomes are both mirrors and teachers. They reflect our consciousness and guide us toward deeper alignment with our soul’s purposes. An Akashic exploration of probable outcomes is not the same as a prediction because predictions are not the purpose of the Records, and Akashic work is rooted in unconditional love and openness to any outcome.
When we are seeking clarity about something in our future, the Records will guide us toward greater awareness and alignment with our soul’s purposes. The Records will help us understand the highest probabilities based on our current path. They illuminate how to grow into our future, rather than predicting it for us.
Instead of focusing on a desire to predict the future, it is very helpful to focus instead on holding steady in the Light, experiencing the richness of everyday life, and doing our very best to make choices that align with our highest good and the highest good of everyone connected to us.
Anxiety about the future is a heavy burden indeed. With anxiety, we focus on future situations and suffer through tomorrow’s problems while missing today’s opportunities, experiences, and joys. The wisdom of the Akashic Records guides us to being our best and most conscious selves TODAY, in our everyday, extraordinary life.
